x Graptoveria 'Topsy Debbi' quick care tips

Watering

x Graptoveria 'Topsy Debbi' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

x Graptoveria 'Topsy Debbi' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

x Graptoveria 'Topsy Debbi' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

x Graptoveria ‘Topsy Debbi’ (Echeveria 'Cupid)

The wonderful x Graptoveria ‘Topsy Debbi’ can also be found under the name of Echeveria ‘Cupid’ and x Graptoveria ‘Lilac Spoons’. It is a rare and beautiful intergeneric hybrid of Echeveria runyonii ‘Topsy Turvy’ cross x Graptoveria ‘Debbi’. We have found that it grows very similar to Echeveria ‘Topsy Turvy’, in the way that it tends to cluster into multiple rosettes but sometimes it will produce one leading stem with a cluster around the base. The plant itself is a true delight, its beautiful spoon-shaped upright leaves combined with the lush lilac colouring is a real eye draw and these colours can be even more intense during the cooler winter months, giving this hybrid all-year-round interest.
