x Graptoveria 'Douglas Huth' quick care tips

Watering

x Graptoveria 'Douglas Huth' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

x Graptoveria 'Douglas Huth' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

x Graptoveria 'Douglas Huth' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

x Graptoveria 'Douglas Huth'

Created by Douglas Huth himself. A hybrid of Graptopetalum paraguayense x Echeveria sp (possibly gigantea).

This is a fantastic Graptoveria with a really nice form and interesting colours. In full sun it turns vibrant pink and in shade, it turns blueish, hence its synonyms 'Dr Huth's Pink' and 'Dr Huth's Blue'.

Great paired up with other intergeneric hybrids. Looks good in a terrarium.
