Faucaria subintegra quick care tips

Faucaria subintegra is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Faucaria subintegra likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Faucaria subintegra needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Faucaria subintegra

Native to South Africa.

Faucaria subintegra is a lovely, compact succulent that slowly spreads with triangular leaves. There are teeth-like notches on the edges of each leaf that give the plant a fierce look, each rosette resembles tiger jaws. In winter, it blooms with stunning yellow flowers.

Great contrasting texture succulent when planted in a bowl or bed with others.
