Echeveria 'Ron Evans' quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria 'Ron Evans' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria 'Ron Evans' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Echeveria 'Ron Evans' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Ron Evans'

A hybrid of Echeveria setosa x Echeveria amoena, also known as Echeveria 'Emerald Ripple', created by Van Keppel, NL.

Echeveria 'Ron Evans' has neat glossy green rosettes that take on pink/red tints in strong light. It offsets readily. This variety blooms in the spring consisting of yellow and orange bell-shaped flowers.

Perfect for a windowsill or conservatory.
