Watering

Echeveria pulvinata 'Ruby Glow' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria pulvinata 'Ruby Glow' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Echeveria pulvinata 'Ruby Glow' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

This gem, Echeveria 'Ruby Glow' produces the brightest and the most intense red colouring on its outer leaf margins, the leaves are soft and velvety to touch, in time it will develop into a beautiful specimen with multiple offsets.

Echeveria 'Ruby Glow's make fantastic pot plants, they grow well indoors on a sunny windowsill and can be moved outside during the summer.
