Echeveria 'Belle Etoile' quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria 'Belle Etoile' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria 'Belle Etoile' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Echeveria 'Belle Etoile' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Belle Etoile'

Echeveria 'Belle Etoile' is an attractive cross of Echeveria purpusorum and another unknown Echeveria species.

It grows in its own unique star-shaped form with similar colouring and markings as Echeveria purpusorum. The leaves are slim with these sharp-looking points are in fact very soft to touch. Flowers May/June.

Grows well on a bright sunny windowsill in a pot, water when the soil dries.
