Crassula rupestris 'Love Star' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Crassula rupestris 'Love Star' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Crassula rupestris 'Love Star'
Crassula rupestris ‘Love Star' is one of many forms of rupestris, a species native to semi-arid regions of the central Cape, South Africa.
Crassula rupestris ‘Love Star' is a much redder version of rupestris, it has colouring all throughout the plant, rather than just the margins. The main feature is the fiery, lipstick-red blotched colour along with its spreading growth form. It will bloom in June-October.
It would make for an excellent hanging basket.
