Crassula 'Red Horn' quick care tips

Watering

Crassula 'Red Horn' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Crassula 'Red Horn' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Crassula 'Red Horn' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Crassula 'Red Horn'

This variegated Crassula 'Red Horn' is a Surreal Succulents favourite.

As it grows, the foliage turns from this vibrant green colour in pale light to a pale yellow with intense red tips in strong sunlight.

It makes a fantastic solo specimen or even better companion plant when planted with other succulents.  It adds great texture, colour and height to a display.

Makes a brilliant potted succulent houseplant.

Red Horn

Very nice healthy plant. One of my favourites with an interesting leaf shape, multistemmed, and colour change from red tips to green in the plant centre. A very lovely Crassula.
