Crassula capitella spp thyrsiflora variegated quick care tips

Watering

Crassula capitella spp thyrsiflora variegated is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Crassula capitella spp thyrsiflora variegated likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Crassula capitella spp thyrsiflora variegated needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Crassula capitella spp thyrsiflora variegated

Variegated Pyramid Plant, is a striking succulent with tight, sculptural pyramid heads. Its variegation shifts from yellow to pink throughout the growing season, often returning in autumn and winter. Flowering occurs in early autumn, producing red stalks with tiny white flowers. After flowering, the plant may take time to regain its tight form. It grows well with regular feeding and watering in spring and autumn, but avoid waterlogging and ensure good airflow.
