Aloe juvenna (Tiger Tooth Aloe) quick care tips

Watering

Aloe juvenna (Tiger Tooth Aloe) is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Aloe juvenna (Tiger Tooth Aloe) likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Aloe juvenna (Tiger Tooth Aloe) needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aloe juvenna (Tiger Tooth Aloe)

We love this quirky little Aloe, it produces this vibrant bright pale green rosettes covered in these protective semi-soft thorns that are definitely less harmful to touch than to look at.

Once potted on, this succulent will produce offsets from the base of the plant, and if grown in strong light with little feed or water the leaves will produce an attractive red colouring.

They make perfect houseplants for the south, east or west facing windowsills.
