Aeonium x barbatum quick care tips
Watering
Watering
The Aeonium x barbatum would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium x barbatum likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium x barbatum needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium x barbatum
This compact and clump forming Aeonium x barbatum is a hybrid of A. spathulatum and A. simsii. Flowers every year with bright yellow star-shaped flowers.
This Aeonium does best in bright, sunny spots and given the correct conditions of a dry, bright spot, is very easy to care for.
