Aeonium spathulatum quick care tips
Watering
Watering
The Aeonium spathulatum would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium spathulatum likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium spathulatum needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium spathulatum
Aeonium spathulatum has spoon shaped leaves that are slightly sticky to touch. These plants will go slightly red in colour when exposed to strong light and will flower within a few years.
