Watering
The Aeonium 'Rock Hopper' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium 'Rock Hopper' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium 'Rock Hopper' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium 'Rock Hopper'
A cracking, almost stemless succulent, believed to be a naturalised garden hybrid of Aeonium cuneatum x Aeonium barbatum. It's a fantastic plant for exposed sunny locations (stone wall) and clumps forming hundreds of similar-sized rosettes. We have grown this hybrid for well over 15 years and have yet to see it in flower. A fantastic feature plant.
