Aeonium 'Merry Maiden' quick care tips

Watering

The Aeonium 'Merry Maiden' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium 'Merry Maiden' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Aeonium 'Merry Maiden' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aeonium 'Merry Maiden'

A nice clumping cultivar introduced by Trewidden Nursery (now Penberth Plants) in 2015. Stunning deep purple foliage with contrasting yellow flowers once mature. Produces many rosettes of slender leaves to around 40cm height and width with intense dark colours.
