Aeonium longithyrsum quick care tips
Watering
Watering
The Aeonium longithyrsum would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium longithyrsum likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium longithyrsum needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium longithyrsum
Aeonium longithyrsum is closely related to A. palmense; it grows as a dense saucer-shaped stemless rosette that will offset from the base of the plant. The leaves are slightly hairy and sticky to touch, and the plant has a nice balsam smell to it. Seed grown.
