Aeonium diplocycla quick care tips
Watering
Watering
The Aeonium diplocycla would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium diplocycla likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium diplocycla needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium diplocycla
Also known as Greenovia.
Aeonium diplocycla is one of the most attractive green Aeonium species. It will close up during summer and in its dormancy form it looks like a rose flower about to open. During the hot summer month, it is best to not water the plant at all unless you have it growing in the cool shade.
