Adromischus marianiae 'Herrei' quick care tips

Watering

Adromischus marianiae 'Herrei' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Adromischus marianiae 'Herrei' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Adromischus marianiae 'Herrei' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

One of the strangest looking plants in our collection due to the wrinkly texture and bright red colouration. It makes a great windowsill plant due to its tolerance for neglect.

This stunning plant is rare in cultivation due to its slow growing nature. Native to South Africa and Namibia.
