Echeveria 'Texas Rose' quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria 'Texas Rose' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria 'Texas Rose' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Echeveria 'Texas Rose' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Texas Rose'

Believed to be an Echeveria runyonii hybrid.

Echeveria 'Texas Rose' is a delightful variety that produces an attractive pale blue rose cupped rosette, and if grown in high light, it produces a hint of pink on the outer leaves, occasionally if the conditions are right the whole plant can turn light pink.

Add it to a succulent display to contrast the bright yellow and blue colouring.
