Echeveria 'Neptune' quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria 'Neptune' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria 'Neptune' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Echeveria 'Neptune' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Neptune'

2020 Introduction.

A magnificent succulent. It grows to a very large size holding great shape and form. The pastel-blue leaves are large for an Echeveria, giving it a completely unique look. Each leaf is covered in a fine dusting of farina which protects it from the strong summer sun.

Echeveria 'Neptune' flowers multiple times throughout the growing season boasting large displays of stunning bright orange jewel-like flowers.

The most interesting feature about this cultivar is its eventual size, our specimen plant measures 40cm both vertically and horizontally.
