Echeveria 'Blue Prince' quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria 'Blue Prince' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria 'Blue Prince' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Echeveria 'Blue Prince' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Blue Prince' is a stunning succulent with vibrant sun-enhanced blue-purple colours. As it ages, the leaf tips and margins inherit a purple blush. This variety will send out beautiful deep-red flowers in the spring.

Great as a contrasting colour in a succulent bowl indoors.
