Crassula muscosa f. acuminata quick care tips

Watering

Crassula muscosa f. acuminata is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Crassula muscosa f. acuminata likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Crassula muscosa f. acuminata needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Crassula muscosa f. acuminata makes a great specimen plant, it has flatter leaves than the straight species but more of an offsetting nature. Over time, this plant will fill more of an area than the regular species, offsets and drops to almost carpet areas.
