Astroloba skinneri quick care tips
Watering
Watering
Astroloba skinneri is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.
Feeding
Feeding
Astroloba skinneri likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Astroloba skinneri needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Astroloba skinneri
Alstroba skinneri is a stunning star-shaped succulent that's rarely available in cultivation, the lime coloured leaves are triangular in shape and strong and rigid to touch. In high light, the older leaves turn a sunset orange colouring which really sets off the lime green centre of the rosette.
We have been growing this particular variety for many years and have found it to be incredibly easy to grow, it would definitely be a great succulent for beginners indoors on a bright/sunny windowsill.
Believed to be very closely related to Haworthia and sometimes seen listed as x Astroworthia skinneri.
