The second variation of Aeonium ‘Zwartkin' variegata colourful variegated, an Aeonium that has large green stripes amongst the variegated leaves in the spring.
This magnificent Aeonium ‘Zwartkin' variegata is true marvel. The original Aeonium is a U.S. hybrid bred by Jack Catlin. It is a hybrid of Aeonium ‘Schwarzkopf’ and Aeonium tabuliforme, having the dark foliage of the former whilst being more compact and having a flat, disc-like rosette.
This is a very colourful variegated Aeonium that has large green stripes amongst the variegated leaves in the spring. Some of the variegation is orange in colour, giving this Aeonium a unique appearance. In stronger light levels, this plant can form the darker outer leaves that original Aeonium ‘Zwartkin’ is well known for. Grow in part sun to shade in the warmer summer months to keep the variegated colouration. It is a colourful attractive succulent plant and a must for a collector.
Aeonium ‘Zwartkin' variegata will freely offset and branch to form an attractive pyramid shaped specimen plant. This plant truly comes in to its own when it is mature and can make one stunning standalone specimen plant.
