Watering

The Aeonium 'Scarlet Ink' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium 'Scarlet Ink' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Aeonium 'Scarlet Ink' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

This has unusually slender leaves for an Aeonium. It will produce many offshoots after some new growth has formed, them all being variegated. Since this is variegated, it would like to be placed in a frost-free low-light area for the best growth.
