Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame' quick care tips

Watering

The Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame'

Amazingly, Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame' is a tried and tested winter survivor. It survives temperatures as low as -6°C.

It's also one of our most outstanding cultivars. The plant holds a perfect clumping form that produces multiple rose-shaped rosettes, looking stunning all year round. Another great feature of this succulent is that it can grow in cooler conditions. It particularly likes autumn and spring. It makes a very compact plant that holds fantastic form and colour. The plant also offsets incredibly quickly, making an ideal container succulent as it won't become too dominant if planted with other succulents.

Aeonium 'Phoenix Flame' is a cross between Aeonium 'Firecracker' x Aeonium dodrentalis.
