Watering

The Aeonium x holospathulatum would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium x holospathulatum likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Aeonium x holospathulatum needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aeonium x holospathulatum

Aeonium x holospathulatum is a hybrid of Aeonium arboreum var. holochrysum x Aeonium spathulatum. This is a branching variety that can grow to around a metre diameter and height.

Its leaves will take in pink-red tints in strong light/dry conditions. It also has a pleasant balsam fragrance. The flowers are yellow bulb-like shaped.

Would be perfect as a standalone feature plant.
