Watering
Watering
The Aeonium 'Ice Warrior' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium 'Ice Warrior' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium 'Ice Warrior' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium 'Ice Warrior'
Aeonium 'Ice Warrior' was bred for it's hardiness, hence the name. Whilst not totally invincible against freezing temperatures, it will put up a brave fight to make it through winter.
The parent plants are Aeonium smithii x Aeonium 'Cyclops', both of which can withstand temperatures below freezing. The underside to the leaves show distinct characteristics of Aeonium smithii, you will see these markings consistently in the hardier varieties of Aeonium.
