Watering
The Aeonium 'Firecracker' variegata would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium 'Firecracker' variegata likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium 'Firecracker' variegata needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium 'Firecracker' variegata
This delightful Aeonium is a variegated form of the popular, hardy Aeonium 'Firecracker'. This will branch naturally to fill a pot and this can be encouraged by fresh soil yearly. Will grow best with lower light levels, like other variegated Aeoniums. This will look best by itself, but will look great planted with larger Aeoniums such as 'Pomegranate' and 'Cyclops'. It is not as hardy as the original 'Firecracker', so will need frost protection.
