Aeonium 'Big Bang' quick care tips

Watering

The Aeonium 'Big Bang' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium 'Big Bang' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Aeonium 'Big Bang' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aeonium 'Big Bang'

The striking Aeonium 'Big Bang' boasts unique black-green irregularly striped foliage and a compact, drought-resistant nature. Perfect for adding interest to any garden or indoor space, this plant is easy to care for and requires minimal watering. With its vibrant colours and low-maintenance nature, it's the perfect addition to any plant collection. Takes very similar care and liking to Aeonium ‘Schwarzkopf’.

Due to the irregularity of cuttings, the plant you receive will have a different pattern to the one displayed.

Big Bang & Pink Witch

Both seem to be doing well but as it’s winter at the moment Pink Witch is holding it’s colours but the Big Bang is quite green so can’t wait for the summer.
