x Pachyveria 'Thunderbird' quick care tips

Watering

x Pachyveria 'Thunderbird' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

x Pachyveria 'Thunderbird' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

x Pachyveria 'Thunderbird' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

x Pachyveria 'Thunderbird'

Introduced in 2015 by Surreal Succulents. A hybrid bred by Steve Purr at Echeveria Universe.

Great form with thick, fleshy leaves and colours that really are out of this world. Under strong light, the tips and leaf margins blush candy-pink. The older leaves turn a beautiful yellow. A really colourful hybrid.

A great feature plant, grows fast so would be good on its own.
