Gasteria cv. 'Sakura Fuji' quick care tips

Watering

Gasteria cv. 'Sakura Fuji' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Gasteria cv. 'Sakura Fuji' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Gasteria cv. 'Sakura Fuji' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Gasteria cv. 'Sakura Fuji'

The variegated Gasteria cv. 'Sakura Fuji' is extremely slow to propagate but definitely worth the wait, we have had this variety in our collection for well over 10 years till its release in summer 2020.

It is a Japanese cultivar of Gasteria with beautiful creamy white leaves and splashes of pink and green throughout giving it a marbled appearance, they grow in a very compact form offsetting very slowly.
