Echeveria lilacina (Frilly Form) quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria lilacina (Frilly Form) is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria lilacina (Frilly Form) likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Echeveria lilacina (Frilly Form) needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria lilacina (Frilly Form)

An unusual variant to the Echeveria lilacina.

It is the first plant to turn to frilly form in our nursery. It inherits all the lilacina colouring of chalky white. Can turn pink under strong light. It will flower in late spring. Quite a hard one to propagate.

It would look great among other succulents, would do great indoors or outdoors.
