Echeveria glauca 'Silver Lining' quick care tips
Watering
Watering
Echeveria glauca 'Silver Lining' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.
Feeding
Feeding
Echeveria glauca 'Silver Lining' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Echeveria glauca 'Silver Lining' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria glauca 'Silver Lining'
Often mistaken as Echeveria 'Imbricata' this Echeveria glauca 'Silver Lining' is a definite must for any collection.
As the plant ages, it produces the most stunning tight-forming blue rosettes with fine red tips on the ends of each leaf.
We love to use this succulent on mass planted underneath our tall branching Aeoniums in our RHS show gardens. With it being a cultivar of Echeveria glauca, we have found it to be a vigorous grower. It can survive colder and wetter conditions more so than other Echeverias.
It looks great either potted on its own or in a mixed succulent container.
