Echeveria 'Fred Wass' quick care tips

Echeveria 'Fred Wass' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Echeveria 'Fred Wass' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Echeveria 'Fred Wass' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Fred Wass'

Echeveria 'Fred Wass' is an amazing plant with large fleshy leaves of a blue-green colouring. Under strong light, the base colours of the plant will turn a striking red with the leaf margins being even brighter. The flowers are large and appear in summer.

A great plant that can fill any pot if given the space.

A hybrid of unknown parentage.
