Watering

Crassula capitella 'Campfire' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Crassula capitella 'Campfire' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Crassula capitella 'Campfire' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Crassula capitella 'Campfire'

This variety is a brilliant plant to fill a sunny, dry spot. It will grow quickly into a small shrub, glowing bright red once the strong sunlight hits the leaves.

Does very well when under planting taller plants and when mixed with other plants with differing textures and colours. Very easy to care for and multiplies quickly.
