Crassula 'Money Maker' quick care tips

Watering

Crassula 'Money Maker' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Crassula 'Money Maker' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Crassula 'Money Maker' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Crassula 'Money Maker'

‘Money Maker’ is a chunky, upright Crassula with thick, rounded leaves that grow in neat pairs up the stem, giving it a sculptural, tree-like look. The leaves are a fresh, glossy green and can take on red edges in bright light — especially during the summer.

It’s compact, easy to grow, and holds its shape really well, making it ideal for pots, windowsills, or adding structure to mixed succulent displays. Like most Crassulas, it thrives on neglect — just give it plenty of light and don’t overwater.

A brand new June 2025 release and already one of our favourites for its strong form and clean, modern look.
