Watering

The Aeonium 'Plum Thumb' would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium 'Plum Thumb' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Aeonium 'Plum Thumb' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aeonium 'Plum Thumb' is a U.S hybrid that produces a cluster of tight rosettes, these rosettes turn from a lime/green colour in mid winter to a maroon/red blush in spring.

They make brilliant pot plants that can be placed on a balcony or patio, just simply water once dry and protect from frosts.
