The Aeonium canariense v. californicum would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Aeonium canariense v. californicum likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil
Aeonium canariense v. californicum needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium canariense v. californicum
Aeonium carnariense v. californicum is a form of A. canariense selected in California. It has a larger, more open rosette than the true canariense and the outer leaves have a red colour to them.
