Aeonium aureum quick care tips
Watering
Watering
The Aeonium aureum would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.
Feeding
Feeding
Aeonium aureum likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Aeonium aureum needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.
Aeonium aureum
Aeonium aureum is a beautiful specimen with a rosette that resembles a lime-green rose, hence its common name Mountain Rose. It will offset freely to form an attractive clump and has a fantastic star-like inflorescence of yellow flowers in spring. Seed grown.
