Sedum clavatum f. variegata quick care tips

Watering

Sedum clavatum f. variegata is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

Sedum clavatum f. variegata likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Sedum clavatum f. variegata needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Sedum clavatum f. variegata

Sedum clavatum f. variegata features plump rosettes made up of attractive, frosted-green leaves which become pink/red at the margins in bright sunlight. It will grow to around 15cm tall with tight spiralled rosettes at the stem tips. This plant is a great ornamental succulent that works perfectly as a base or ground covering succulent plant.

Looks great potted in a display of succulents or on its own so that you can admire its beauty. Protect from frost.
