Echeveria 'Ed Hummel' quick care tips

Echeveria 'Ed Hummel' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Echeveria 'Ed Hummel' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Echeveria 'Ed Hummel' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria 'Ed Hummel'

Echeveria 'Ed Hummel is a hybrid from the U.S.

This stunning hybrid has attractive green-blue leaves that feature a red tinge to the outer leaves in strong light. A very colourful variety that stands out. It will flower in the spring with red/orange bell-shaped flowers

A great plant that can grow to large sizes, would suit perfectly in a succulent planter. Can also work as a house plant indoors.
