Echeveria colorata 'Haage' quick care tips

Watering

Echeveria colorata 'Haage' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Feeding

Echeveria colorata 'Haage' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Ideal soil

Echeveria colorata 'Haage' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria colorata 'Haage'

This is a variety of Echeveria colorata of garden origin.

It features a pink tinge on every leaf that gradients down to an elegans-blue. It will stay quite small and compact but can reach a larger size after years of growth. The leaves are short and point almost inward to create a defensive looking structural plant. It flowers in the spring.

A stunning plant that will add colour to your terrarium or planter. Would also do great as a standalone houseplant on a windowsill.
