Echeveria carnicolor quick care tips

Echeveria carnicolor is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.

Echeveria carnicolor likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.

Echeveria carnicolor needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria carnicolor

Echeveria carnicolor is a species native to Mexico. The name meaning 'meat colour' from Latin.

The Echeveria carnicolor really stands out in the collection with its vibrant chocolatey-colour. At a closer look, each leaf has thousands of little crystal-like cells interlocking. Vibrant bright orange jewel-like flowers in spring.

A contrasting plant, allowing you to add dark shades to your mixed succulent bowl.
