Aeonium sedifolium quick care tips

Watering

The Aeonium sedifolium would like watering between once and twice per week in the peak growing season. It is advised to reduce watering when plants are dormant due to a heatwave and to significantly reduce/ stop watering when conditions are frosty.

Feeding

Aeonium sedifolium likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

Aeonium sedifolium needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Aeonium sedifolium

This is a lovely species that has compact growth that offsets readily. Also features succulent leaves that develop a very red tinge in strong light. 
The name refers to the plant looking a lot like a Sedum due to the leaf shape and growth habit, despite being identified as an Aeonium.
