The highly sought after and prized Aeonium ‘Big Bang’ is rumoured to be a variant of Aeonium ‘Schwarzkopf’ (also seen listed under Aeonium atropurpureum), which originated in South Korea. The striking green and black leaves are more of a mutation than a variegation, this mutation gives this plant its own unique appearance.

Description
The leaves of Aeonium ‘Big Bang’ are incredibly intriguing, each leaf completely different from the next. Some have streaks of lime green running from the base of the leaf right through to the top, whilst other leaves have random sparks of green flecks throughout the dark leaves.
Each offset can be unique, some can be completely green, others can be completely black giving this plant a strangely beautiful appearance. The unstable nature makes it more difficult to propagate, this is one of the main reasons that this plant is so rare.
Aeonium ‘Big Bang’ really comes into its own during the summertime, as the dark pigments enhance in strong light, the green flecks and stripes become more and more visible.
The Aeonium ‘Big Bang’ grows almost identical to Aeonium ‘Schwarzkopf’, as they both grow on tall stems that offset when given plenty of water and feed during the growing seasons, which are Spring and Autumn.
Each plant has its own unique appearance, you may receive one that looks slightly different from the images.
Please Note: Succulents change colour throughout the year and the plants we deliver can look different from the pictures. All plants are shipped bare root (without soil).
