x Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' quick care tips

Watering

x Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.

Feeding

x Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.

Ideal soil

x Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

x Cremnosedum 'Little Gem'

A hybrid of Cremnophila nutans x Sedum humifusum from California, USA.

A small yet sturdy hybrid that displays some beautiful colours. It has tiny, beautifully formed heads that grow to create columns of leaves. The leaves do not drop like most succulents, keeping a more tight formation. The colours range from the deepest reds to the brightest oranges. A bright plant that offsets in all directions to form a compact carpet. The flowers are yellow are appear in late spring.

A truly sensational succulent, perfect to carpet under taller plants.
