Graptopetalum mendozae quick care tips
Watering
Watering
Graptopetalum mendozae is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings following the 3 Ds: drench, drain and dry. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time over winter.
Feeding
Feeding
Graptopetalum mendozae likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Graptopetalum mendozae needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this.

Graptopetalum mendozae
A species native to Mexico.
A great carpet succulent due to its fantastic spreading features. Small rosettes consisting of short, pale leaves make up this plant. It offsets from young to create a clump of lovely little heads. In strong light, the colour darkens to an almost gold colour. It blooms in spring with white, star-shaped flowers.
An excellent plant to cover ground under taller Aeoniums.
