Echeveria secunda variegata quick care tips
Watering
Watering
Echeveria secunda variegata is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.
Feeding
Feeding
Echeveria secunda variegata likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Echeveria secunda variegata needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria glauca variegata
The highly prized and collectable Echeveria glauca variegata, is very rarely seen in cultivation and is not to be mistaken with Echeveria ‘Compton Carousel’. The growth form is much more open and upright compared to the Compton, and the variegation tends to blend in more with the blue/green foliage, the strongest variegation tends to be on the outer leaf margins and this is all offset with a stunning pink hue which will intensify as we move through the seasons.
