Echeveria hyalina quick care tips
Watering
Watering
Echeveria hyalina is a drought-tolerant succulent variety, so watering around once per week in the peak growing season is advised. Ensure the soil dries between waterings. It is also advised to completely stop watering when conditions are frosty, keeping the plant dry for several months at a time.
Feeding
Feeding
Echeveria hyalina likes to be fed to bring out its best forms and colours. We recommend feeding with a liquid seaweed feed every 2 weeks in the main growing season from April to September. A feed we recommend is the one from our friends at LittleGreenSeaweed.
Ideal soil
Ideal soil
Echeveria hyalina needs free draining soil to thrive. We recommend a mixture of 1/3 John Innes no.2, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 coconut coir. The soil mix we offer here is similar in composition to this. Adding extra grit may be useful to add even more drainage for these desert-dwellers.

Echeveria hyalina
A delicate Echeveria species native to Mexico.
Due to the compact nature of the plant, it makes it a very good choice for limited areas such as a windowsill. It will glow a vibrant pink in winter as the cold hits, this is a natural response for the plant to cope with frost. It will develop yellow bell-shaped flowers in May and will offset once mature, usually after 1-2 years of consistent growth.
