Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion' rosettes with hairy deep red leaves among stones and a shell

Four Echeverias for a bright windowsill

Echeveria rosettes from our nursery that like strong light

Echeverias are rosette succulents, and several of ours change colour when the light is strong. These four are in our shop now. Two blush in bright light, one wants the brightest spot you have, and one is a small blue plant that suits a windowsill or a conservatory.

1. Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion'

Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion' is a hybrid of the hairy species Echeveria pulvinata. It blushes a deep red in full sun, and it grows quickly and easily. It stays compact and offsets often, so it slowly turns into a shrub-like clump. We think it makes a good first plant for a windowsill or a terrarium.

2. Echeveria agavoides 'Tango'

Echeveria agavoides 'Tango' is a Surreal Hybrid, a large and fast-growing agavoides hybrid. It blushes orange in high light, or when it is stressed in other ways. The leaves are long and fleshy and come to a red point. It grows large, so give it some room. We rate it as an indoor plant.

3. Echeveria 'Snow Bunny'

Echeveria 'Snow Bunny' is a Korean hybrid with pastel pinks and quartz-like marbling. For a compact shape and the best colours and markings, give it intense light and feed it regularly through the growing season with any multipurpose liquid feed. It grows well on its own or in an arrangement.

4. Echeveria 'Nana Mini Hook'

Echeveria 'Nana Mini Hook' is a delicate hybrid of Echeveria minima. It is mostly cyan blue, with silvery leaf margins and pink tips. The undersides of the lower leaves blush deep pink as they age. It grows easily and suits a windowsill indoors, or a conservatory or glasshouse.

You can see every plant we grow in our Echeveria collection. If a plant starts to stretch, it often isn't getting enough natural light, and our All-Round Succulent Care Guide explains what to look for.
